    Sonia Sharma, Ayurvedic Practitioner

    My story on Digestive Health:

Believe it or not, I am in better health now at age 55 than in my teen years, late 20’s and 30’s. Around the age of 40, I started taking care of my well-being more than before and noticed an exponential impact on my life.

What was I doing differently from age 40 onwards? I had started practicing more self-care routines and focusing on maintaining my boundaries, doing more yoga and practicing more meditation. By the age of 50, I thought I had mastered my life – however, it was not until I signed up for my training as an Ayurveda Chef training in Hawaii that I realized that my journey on self-awareness had just begun.

Ayurveda believes that our life is an experience of what we are metabolizing. If our digestive function is not optimum, we struggle through life and find it very hard to feel centered and calm.  This is because we are digesting more than food in our life. We digest – what we eat, hear, feel, smell, taste, see and think.

Once I started applying simple digestive principles to my life – my life started becoming clear, centered and calm. This is when I realized that it’s more than only focusing on yoga and meditation and my boundaries – I needed more tools to assist my digestion in this fast-paced lifestyle.  Having a strong metabolism is necessary to feel happy, content and healthy in life.

If you can relate to my story and are looking to connect to a like minded group while receiving some support, coaching and guidance from a world renowned Ayurvedic physician and a gut specialist like me, I would like to invite you to join in this program.

    Testimonials

It was Sonia’s credibility that caught my attention. I immediately noticed that the workshops she offered were well structured, documented and based on her personal examples. Nothing that looked like the popular diets of the moment (Keto, gluten-free, high protein, etc.). Sonia instead suggested balancing my meals according to my body type, a personalized, organic approach including spices to help digestion. Today I am continuing my new lifestyle habits based on the principles of Ayurveda taught by Sonia. Her listening skills and above all, her non-judgmental approach greatly inspired me, despite all my workshops and consultations carried out virtually. Thus, I found an inspiring source of motivation to face all my daily challenges and deal with a chronic illness like type 1 diabetes.

Pearl barley with nuts, raisins and apples. I think of you when I cook Ayurvedic. My partner is now hooked on eating Ayurvedic food and he loves it. I have been cooking Ayurvedic since doing your online detox series and have been exploring creatively. We eat Ayurvedic four times a week! I’m so happy that we are addicted to ghee now. We eat it in everything.

Thank you for everything.  The four meetings with you were so inspiring for me.  You were the helping hand I needed to reboot my faith in myself and keep moving on toward my dream of a peaceful, creative and abundant life.  I’m looking forward to continuing working with you to get back my health and be the light that I so aspire to be for my beautiful children and the people that I love.
